The FCA is very please to announce that we will be taking the next step in our youth development program. Beginning March 13th at 9:30am and continuing every other Saturday thereafter we will be hosting a T20 tournament. We plan to have 2 divisions with 4 teams each. We plan on running this Saturday event at both grounds at Brain Piccolo. Any one interested in forming and entering a team is asked to contact Wayne, Shabeer or Manaf for more details.

Anyone interested in entering a team is asked to attend a meeting at Tropics Restaurant in Hollywood on Wed. March 10th at 7pm for all the detail.

Ramnaresh “Ronnie” Sarwan, FCA Honourary Coach

The Academy takes great pride and pleasure to announce that Ronnie Sarwan will be an honourary coach and member of the Florida Cricket Academy. For the past few weeks Ronnie has gotten to know our players as he has been working out with us recovering from his injury.

His knowledge of the game will be a great asset to our program and welcome him with open arms when he is able to visit us.

The FCA wishes to thank Ramnaresh “Ronnie” Sarwan for visiting our practice on Saturday. Ronnie took time out of his recovery schedule to visit our practice and meet the players and coaches.

Ronnie has been training and lending coaching advice to our players at our Ansin Park facility. We wish him the best of luck when he returns to the Caribbean at the end of the month.

FCA Players to Play in SFCA Classic

The FCA is very happy to announce that 8 of our talented young players will be playing in the annual SFCA Classic tournament slated to begin Jan. 31st. The “Classic” is the premier cricket event in South Florida with the players representing their countries and the Under – 23 team. The FCA wishes them the best and will follow their performances.

Training Resumes Jan. 16th, 2010

Training will resume at Brian Piccolo Park on Jan. 16th starting at 9:30am. All players and coaches are asked to be on time.

Practice at the Ansin Park cages will resume on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting next week.

FCA Practice At Ansin Park Cages

The Academy practices are held every Saturday mornings at Brian Piccolo Park north cricket field. Practice begins at 9:30am.

Practice at the Ansin Park cages in Miramar will begin Sept. 1st starting at 6pm to 9pm. We expect to have the bowling machine there within the next 2 weeks. Our schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm- 9pm
